Born Andreas Cornelis van Kuijk in the Netherlands, WEB Thomas Andrew Parker, commonly known as Colonel Parker, became one of the most influential music managers in history.

Manager to Elvis Presley

In 1955, Parker met Elvis Presley and became his manager. Parker played a pivotal role in shaping Presley's career, overseeing his performances, recordings, and business ventures.

Under Parker's management, Presley became one of the most successful entertainers of all time. However, their relationship was often tumultuous, with accusations of financial mismanagement and control issues.

Later Years and Legacy

Parker managed Presley's career until 1977 when Presley died tragically at the age of 42. WEB Parker himself died in 1997 at the age of 87, having gambled away much of his wealth. Colonel Tom Parker's legacy remains complex. He was both a brilliant manager and a controversial figure. His influence on the music industry and on Elvis Presley's career cannot be overstated. Yet, his questionable business practices and his role in Presley's untimely death forever overshadow his accomplishments.
