Dallas Stars Blow Big Lead Again, Fall to Avalanche

Avalanche Take Series Lead With Comeback Win

Stars Unable to Hold Onto Early Advantage

The Dallas Stars once again blew a big lead and fell to the Colorado Avalanche in Game 4 of their second-round playoff series. Dallas stormed out to a 3-0 lead in the first period, but Colorado came back to score four unanswered goals to take a 4-3 victory.

The loss gives Colorado a 3-1 lead in the series, and they will have a chance to close it out in Game 5 on Wednesday night. The Stars, meanwhile, will be facing elimination and must win three straight games to advance to the Western Conference Finals.

The Stars got off to a great start in the game, scoring three goals in the first period. Jason Robertson, Roope Hintz, and Joel Kiviranta all found the back of the net for Dallas.

However, Colorado came back to score four unanswered goals in the second and third periods. Nathan MacKinnon, Mikko Rantanen, Valeri Nichushkin, and Devon Toews all scored for the Avalanche.

The Stars had a chance to tie the game late in the third period, but they were unable to convert on a power play. Colorado then held on to win the game and take a commanding lead in the series.
