New Orleans Pelicans Win Summer League Game

Pelicans Defeat Warriors 94-86

Balanced Scoring and Paint Dominance Lead to Victory

In a thrilling matchup at the NBA 2K24 Summer League, the New Orleans Pelicans emerged victorious over the Golden State Warriors, securing a 94-86 victory. The Pelicans' balanced scoring attack and dominance in the paint proved to be the difference-makers.

The Pelicans had seven players score in double figures, led by Zion Williamson's 18 points. Brandon Ingram added 16 points, while CJ McCollum contributed 14. The team's depth and versatility on offense made it difficult for the Warriors to contain them.

In the paint, the Pelicans asserted their physicality, outscoring the Warriors 42-30. Jaxson Hayes led the way with 10 rebounds, while Willy Hernangomez added 8. The Pelicans' dominance in the interior gave them second-chance opportunities and made it easier for them to score.

The Warriors, who were led by Jonathan Kuminga's 22 points, struggled to keep up with the Pelicans' offensive firepower. They shot just 39% from the field and were outrebounded by the Pelicans 47-41.

The Pelicans' victory marks their second in the Summer League and further showcases their potential for the upcoming season. With a talented roster featuring a mix of young stars and experienced veterans, the Pelicans could be a force to be reckoned with when the regular season begins.
